Artist's Statement

“Reproduction of Catanzaro's painted this 30-hour work as the design reminded me of the work-crunching days in a country that was and is now at war regardless of how painful the visa process was, the first joke received was ‘hey, do you know missile missed us last night and went behind that mountain’. – (though we laughed, we knew there’re half truth in these jokes). rushing to complete the due diligence, we simply didn’t sleep and relied on the 15-min power naps for days. the minute the plane went off the country’s airspace, one quote came to me… “Can’t decide if I need a hug, an XL coffee, 6 shots of vodka or 2 weeks of sleep” - anonymous, and hence, in short, the memory that inspired to paint this one. ”
