Artist's Statement
“In Greek mythology, Aether is a god of light and sky. His name means “the light upper atmosphere” – a material elements of the cosmos. Ancient Greeks considered him to be the creator of the “blue ether” that represents heaven… that his white mists would spread and fill a solid dome sky and the transparent mists would fill the earth with air. Aether is among the very first gods and goddesses…and as a creator of light and sky, he is believed by many to be the purest. This painting is my depiction of the bright, breezy and majestic home of Aether.”
