Artist's Statement
“From the Greek mythology, Rhea is a daughter of Uranus (Heaven) and Gaia (Earth). The name Rhea means ease and as a goddess, she represents fruitfulness of home. In Greek sculptures, Rhea often depicts wearing turret crown and attended by the great lions.This painting is my interpretation of the beautiful home, the welcoming aura and the grace of Rhea, who provides a warm home protected by the great lions, the refreshing waterdall and the colorful garden. ”
