Artist's Statement

“This painting is among the most color complex painting I have ever painted with each color having it’s own interpretation. It is also the heaviest and thickest I have ever painted with almost 3 kg. of paints on it. ‘The Color of King’ is one of the key paintings in ‘The Olympians’ Collection.The Color of King is my depiction of the colors that represent Zeus, The King of KingsYellow is his weapon - The ThunderboltOrange is his powerBlue is his intelligenceGreen is his kindnessPurple is his role as protectorAs the king of kings, Zeus rules with intelligence and power. In Greek mythology, he deeply cares for justice and hence makes him able to remain in power with no stronger successor can ever replace him. Zeus represents warmth, great power and intelligence. This painting is my depiction of the colors of him and the roles he takes on... as a king, a father, and a protector. ”
